About the Race

Come celebrate Stansbury Days with us at the 14th Annual Stansbury Days Kids Triathlon! The race kicks off at the Stansbury Park Pool where kids swim one lap, then bike 3.2 miles, and finish with a one-mile run. The finish line is across the bridge by the skate park.

Every participant receives a participation medal and after-race snacks. The top three finishers in each age division — boys and girls — receive trophies! All kids ages 5–12 are welcome.

Race Day — Parent Info
⚠️ Parents cannot ride or run with kids! The only exception is 5-year-olds on the bike course only. This is the kids' race — let them run their own pace and have fun!
  1. Check-in: 5:15–6:15 pm. Race starts at 6:30 pm. Arrive within that window to get your bib and rack your bike. Look for us outside the pool.
  2. If your bike is too small to hang on the rack, lay it on the ground underneath. Bikes must be racked in the same spot after the bike leg — talk to your kids about this!
  3. Keep shoes and helmet with your bike.
  4. If your young child needs help with their helmet or shoes, meet them outside the bike rack on the grass. Older kids must handle gear in the bike area.
  5. Transitions are part of the race — kids must do them independently!
  6. No parents in the bike area once the race starts.
  7. Kids enter the pool in 10-second intervals. They swim one length, duck under the lane line, and swim back. Life jackets OK · Swim fins not allowed.
  8. No one leaves the bike area without their helmet on and buckled.
  9. Race bibs go on the front of the shirt, pinned at the top only — the bottom is torn off at the finish line to record times.
  10. After the race: refreshments for racers and awards ceremony!
Tell Your Kids Before the Race
  • Ask anyone in a bright yellow vest for help.
  • Ride along the side of the road — not down the middle. Cars need to pass.
  • After the bike leg, put your bike back in your original spot — that's part of the transition!
  • Wear your bib on the front of your shirt so volunteers can record your number.
Volunteers Needed!

We love volunteers ages 14–99! Scout groups, youth groups, sports teams, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents — everyone is welcome. Help make this race amazing!
