We’re making significant progress on the SR-201 Over 3200 West Bridge Rehabilitation Project, and we appreciate your patience as we move into the next phase of work.
Eastbound SR-201 Ramp Traffic Switch: Friday, February 7, at 7 a.m.
Westbound SR-201 Ramp Traffic Switch: Monday, February 10, at 7 a.m.
New Traffic Configuration:
Lane Narrowing & Traffic Shift: Lanes will be shifted outward, away from the bridge, to allow crews to work safely on the shoulders.
Barrier Relocation & Stripe Removal: Crews will adjust barriers and remove old striping to accommodate the new configuration.
Increased Truck Activity: Trucks will be entering and exiting the work zone—please slow down and stay alert.
Work Progression: Crews will begin work on the SR-201 eastbound off-ramp, followed by the westbound on-ramp later in the week.
3200 West Reconstruction – Work Under the Bridge
With traffic now shifted back onto the new bridge deck, crews are focusing on rebuilding 3200 West underneath SR-201. This work is necessary before the intersection can fully reopen to traffic on February 21.
Here’s what’s happening:
✔ Installing new traffic signals
✔ Replacing curb & gutter along the roadway and surrounding medians
✔ Restoring signage that was temporarily removed
✔ Placing new striping with white and yellow lane markings and directional arrows
✔ Removing temporary concrete barriers to restore the roadway
What’s Next?
Even after 3200 West reopens, additional work will continue in the area, including:
Grading and stabilizing slopes
Upgrading signal and Intelligent Transportation Systems – traffic cameras, sensors and signal coordination to improve traffic flow and safety
Adding and enhancing – Shared-Use Path, sidewalks and accessible access ramp improvements
Some work that requires warmer temperatures will take place later this spring, including:
Placing a polymer overlay on the bridge deck
Painting the girders and concrete
Paving island areas
Seeding slopes for erosion control

We appreciate your patience and support as we work toward a safer, more efficient 3200 West intersection. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
